Our History
The name Pátria Lusa is a brand whose first word, Pátria, refers to our home country, and Lusa derives from the Latin word Lusitanus, from Lusitania. It was an ancient Roman province in the Iberian Peninsula, which included all of the current Portuguese territory south of the Douro River and a part of modern Spain.
Pátria Lusa's artistic furniture is composed of mosaics created with typical Portuguese tiles from the 17th and 18th centuries. This art, a heritage from other centuries, can still be seen in countless churches, monasteries, royal palaces, and private and public buildings from north to south of Portugal. However, much of the valuable tile heritage has been ignored, and many of these buildings were damaged or demolished to make way for more modern structures. At Pátria Lusa, we have made it our mission to recover this heritage, doing so exclusively through authorized channels.
We combine a contemporary design of the steel structures with the centuries-old art of the Portuguese Azulejo to create simple and sober contemporary art pieces. Each piece is unique, handmade by certified artisans, and properly numbered. An investment in Pátria Lusa furniture is undoubtedly an excellent asset that, like other forms of art, can be passed down for generations.

Terms: 50% deposit upon ordering, with the remaining 50% due 24 hours before delivery. (You will be notified as soon as your order is ready for dispatch).
VAT: Prices in Portugal and the rest of the European Union are subject to 23% VAT. Orders from countries outside the European Union are VAT-exempt.
